Moving Forward

Well, here we are again. I’m probably going to rant about the future and how it matters. 😉 In all honesty though…it took me awhile to really take certain things seriously. For awhile a lot of things mattered like being happy and living a good life. That’s kind of hard to do if you don’t have experience in what you’re trying to accomplish. But that’s okay, because you can always change. You can make your life better by improving it with work experience, college, or even both. Then, we come right back around to the money issue. Luckily for me I found a way to obtain a scholarship in the state I live that allows me to go to school for $0. That’s amazing, especially for us here in the States.

But my point of blabbering on is to say I’m finally moving forward with it all. I’m getting to where I want to be and I couldn’t be happier about it. It’s going to be tough some days, but I know I can make it through. I’d like to think that anyone can. It’s terrible to go through each day wondering what it is that you want to do in life. I was offered some amazing advice: just do something, anything. If you don’t know what you want to do, then that’s a perfect starting point. Pick something that interests you even if it’s a small interest and just go with it. If it turns out that it’s not what you want, you can always start again. The only thing that holds us back is our own mind. Doubt and fear are more powerful than we care to give them credit for, but that doesn’t always have to be the case.

You can be your own person and do what you want to do. Sure, it may take some time to figure that out, but you will get there. You will find what it means to be successful and happy if you just keep searching, keep trying, and keep moving forward. Trust yourself.
