We’re All Connected & Racism

Whether we like it or not, we are all part of the same planet. Same universe, same…everything really. We may live our own lives through and through, but there’s always something to analyze that connects us. We’re thankful, sure, but the world nowadays is so separated. Even with all these things connecting us, we have found countless ways to stay away from each other. Granted, I get it. I don’t really like people either, but it’s a little silly when you think about it. We talk about connecting with each other yet a lot of us shy away from it because of anxiety or just…not liking the general public. It’s sad, but sometimes we can’t help it and that’s okay. I think there’s a lot of strain put on those who are socially unprepared. We can’t always be in the mood to go out. We can’t always be ready for the public eye. It’s just impossible. I don’t care how much of a people person you are. You’re going to want to be by yourself at some point. Whether it be for thirty minutes or thirty hours…it’s going to happen.

Personally, people scare me sometimes. I’m not a hermit by any means, but I don’t always feel like embracing the public. Who wants to be around people ALL THE TIME?! Certainly not me. But the people I enjoy seeing, I will say I can’t get enough of them. So those of you who I have in my life, just know I cherish you and I’m very thankful to have you. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I think we’re all looking for something more and the last thing we want to do is embrace it with everyone else. But like it or not, we live on Earth with over 7 billion people. That’s a lot of human and we will never see them all.

Speaking of humans…we’re all equal. It doesn’t matter how much money someone has, they’re still human. We will all die eventually, there’s no stopping that. Yet we treat each other so differently. I know this has been said so many times over, but there’s no reason to treat someone different because of where they were born or the color of their skin. It needs to stop. I don’t practice racism and I certainly don’t talk down to people just because of their differences. It’s rude, horrible, and it needs to stop…forever. This world is beautiful…but it also possesses ugly bits and pieces. We can change that. We can change everything.
