TODAY I LEARNED: France did not stop executing people by guillotine until 1977!
I really enjoy the snow; it’s such a cleansing and healing type of weather. The way it falls down around everything so beautiful just makes me want to stand out in the middle of it. That’s really what I’ve needed this week was something cleansing. Of course, it didn’t snow as much as I would have liked, but that’s alright. I have a feeling winter is just getting started. We’ll see more snow soon…I hope.
What I really like to do, (even when it’s freezing), is go outside while the wind and snow are blowing and just stand there. Sure, it’s cold and it sounds crazy, but doing so really does make you feel better. After you’re inside and you warm up, you realize how clean you feel. Like I said, snow is cleansing. It wipes away all the nasty energy you have just lingering around you. A lot of people consider this time of year very depressing and while that can be a sad truth, it’s not always so dark and cold.
For me, the snow reminds us that even the warmest days can grow cold. You don’t always have to feel warm to feel safe. The cold allows us to spend more time indoors, more time with our family and friends, and more time to take care of things we might have neglected during the spring and summer months. In other words, winter has a way of reminding us of what we have and what we should be thankful for.
