TODAY I LEARNED: 36 human hearts could fit inside a giraffe’s heart.
If you don’t already know, I’m a witchcraft practitioner. This post is going to freak a lot of people out, but it’s also going to interest a lot of people as well. So, let me explain.
First, before anything, witchcraft is NOT evil. It is not like what you see in the movies AT ALL. There’s a difference between cinematic “magic” and real life magick. I just wanted to throw this out there because I’ve had a lot of people ask me what I believe or what I do and my answer is simple: I practice witchcraft. I won’t go into a lot of detail about what I believe spiritually because believe me, we would be here all day. However, I do want to detail just a bit of what I believe and why it’s important to me.
I’ve been practicing witchcraft for about 8 years now and honestly it’s a beautiful and amazing path filled with so many wonderful things. Of course, like all things in life, witchcraft can’t fulfill the desires you’re probably expecting. It can’t give you a worry-free life, take all your troubles away, or get you all the money in the world. What it can do is help you to walk the path you were meant to and reveal your true self to help you better your own life. We are all powerful beings in control of our own lives. We are capable of so much, if we can believe in ourselves. Witchcraft itself is a magical practice that works with the energies around us to influence our lives. This “energy” can simply be called magic or magick, depending on how you prefer to spell it. Many cultures call it different things, but they all agree magic is everywhere and everything.
Walking a witch’s path can mean so many things, it’s hard to really pin down just one definition. Each witch has their own individual set of beliefs and that’s one of the wonderful things about witchcraft is that your path is your own. Some witches don’t believe in anything and some believe in selective things from various religions. Yes, there are spells, but no one is bringing back the dead or walking on water. There’s a difference between magic and miracles. But before you call it sinister or devil worship, do your own research. Come to your own conclusions. Don’t let someone else tell you what witchcraft is. Question what your parents taught you. Read books, search online, ask witches, pagans, and any others you wish, but please, do your research. Before I started practicing, I was raised to believe that witchcraft was an evil art that connected you with the Devil himself. It took me six months of searching and doubting before I ever considered the possibility that witchcraft could be good.
Now it’s so important to me. In a way, witchcraft is like being human. Just as there are good and bad humans, so there are good and bad witches. It’s not witchcraft itself that bad. It’s how you use it. Witchcraft, magic, nature, and all that intertwines are very neutral energies. Our intentions make witchcraft good or bad, not the magic itself. As we all know man is flawed so there are bound to be negative sides to all of this, but the predominate force is light and love. You won’t find many wicked witches, but they do exist. However, it’s not a scary road. It’s all entirely what you make it. If you ever want to ask me about it, please feel free to ask. I really don’t mind to share what I’ve learned and talk about my experiences. 😊
Blessed Be )O(
