You Don’t Have To Fake It

Emotional level: 4

Mental level: 6

TODAY I LEARNED: Giraffes can run as fast as 35 mph?!

I don’t like putting on a mask to suit someone else’s feelings. That sounds harsh, but what I mean is, I don’t like to fake anything around others. Even if I’m annoyed, I hate to hide it. That may make me come off as rude at times, but I hate it when I’m not being honest with myself or others. And really, we only fake things to avoid conflict, or for personal interest. Sometimes it’s because you really don’t want to talk about it, so you put on a mask and hope that people don’t see through it.

But no one really needs to fake it. If we were all suddenly very honest about how we feel for an entire day, the world would be turned around leading to events that would change everything and everyone. But wouldn’t that be something so intense? To really imagine that everyone had to be completely honest with themselves for an entire day. A universal rule that enacted once a year. Of course, that’s not something we can have, and probably with good reason. But I still wonder…

So, without any major universal rule in place, we’re left with what we have. People have free will and they can do or say whatever they want, really. But I’m very appreciative of free will. I’m happy that we have something that allows us to be free.

That’s truly all the babble I have today. Bottom line, even though I’m kind of all over the place today, don’t fake it if you don’t have to. Just be yourself and express how you feel clearly and freely. Be the best person you can be.

Blessed Be )O(

  1. Interesting fact! I agree with you, being genuine even if it seems rude is better than faking it
