TODAY I LEARNED: Before the 17th century, almost all cultivated carrots were purple.
Classes have finally come to an end. Something so dreadful is finally over. Don’t get me wrong. I am absolutely grateful that I have the ability to further my education, but the classes always feel like they take FOREVER. Just to make it through one semester is tough. It’s one thing to talk about how hard college is, and another to actually live it. I applaud those who are fighting the college fight and making it through, one day at a time, because the process is a long one. And even if you’re not in college, whatever fight you are going through, just keep your head up. I applaud those who are pursuing other parts of life as well.
I feel like there’s a negative stigma when it comes to college. People think that if you don’t go to college, you’re not smart. Others think that college is pointless. I don’t think people are stupid just because they didn’t go to college, but at the same time, I don’t think college is pointless. I feel like it has a place in your life if you are on a certain path. For example: if you can’t get to the next step in your life without college, then it’s probably a good idea to enroll or at least think about it. In my situation, I’m already a writer. I’m going to college, so I can further my skills and keep improving my writing ability. There’s nothing wrong with not going to college. I hate that people have been made to believe otherwise.
With that being said, it’s only fair that I point out I wasn’t planning for college. Honestly, it’s something that sort of creeped up on me at the last minute. Sure, the thought had crossed my mind, but I never thought I would be in college a year ago. It’s funny how life seems to switch things up when you least expect it. It’s strange because you always think you have it figured out, then something comes barreling straight for you.
Just remember to keep it up. We won’t get anywhere unless we move forward. And it’s better to move in any direction than stay put in the one place you’re unhappy. Finding your work, your bliss, is what’s important. It’s what will give you your meaning in life. Your are well worth the process to figure it all out and become the best person you can be.
Blessed Be )O(
