TODAY I LEARNED: Vending machines kill more people than sharks do every year.
If you know a friend who forgets everything ALL THE TIME,you know how frustrating it is making plans with them. You constantly must give them reminders throughout the day, and if you’re not careful, it will slip their mind entirely.
Unfortunately, I am one of those friends who forgets A LOT. However, it’s not that I don’t try to remember or that I don’t care. I have ADHD, so it’s hard for me to remember something unless I write it down or put it in my app on my phone. That app reminds me of…well, everything. However, sometimes I forget to jot it down, then I’m really in trouble.
It’s hard to deal with because it frustrates you to no end. Forgetting so many little details makes you feel like a broken machine, unable to do what it’s supposed to. I just try to remember we are all human and everyone has quirky issues in need of improvement. Some are worse than others, but we are all unique. Just because one’s path is harder than someone else’s, doesn’t mean that it’s any less important or less of a struggle for the person.
For example, I have been struggling to remember a lot of tasks this week and it’s all because I haven’t written anything down. Sometimes we just go too fast in life. We need to slow down and take a breath or two. I need to go at a steady pace and remember one little fact:
We are only human, but that’s enough and that’s okay. Also, try your best and be yourself.
Blessed Be )O(
