Adventure Awaits

Emotional level: 7

Mental level: 7

TODAY I LEARNED: You are less likely to experience a nightmare when sharing your bed with someone you trust.

Well, I know I said that I would be writing about the trip to Chattanooga, but something else grabbed my attention in the midst of my planning. A few weeks ago, we went to Knoxville. The initial plan was to visit certain thrift stores, and that would be it. No other stops, just there and back. However, we ended up going to lots of different places, and it was the most wonderful experience. It was a standard adventure to places we had never been before, but it ended up being this spontaneous thing and it really was a wonderful time!

What was just going to take a couple hours, turned into something entirely different. We were gone for quite some time, and even though I had to work the next day, it made it all worth it, because sometimes you just need that “do it on a whim” kind of day.

It refreshes your soul, clears your mind, and reminds you why you’re doing what you do in life.

Since most of the places we went to were thrift stores, I wanted to take a moment and really mention how wonderful these places are. Never underestimate what you can find at a thrift store. There are so many wonderful and unique items. So, if someone tells you thrift stores are horrible, nasty places that shouldn’t be visited, you just tape their mouth shut and all will be groovy. 😊

We found a lot of great things during our trip and we barely breached $20 through it all. I definitely call that a win! But, truly, the theme of that day was simple. It was all about searching and having fun. That’s something I wasn’t doing a lot of and I didn’t want that to be the case anymore. I don’t want my life to be void of joy. Without distance from all the work and “duties” and life, joy seems harder to accomplish. With that being said, there are many other adventures that I will be writing about. This is just the start of all the things I want to really get into; the tip of the iceberg, if you will.

For those who don’t know, I do have two blogs. In the next blog post, I’ll be posting a link to the other blog, (my main blog), which hasn’t been updated in quite some time, but bear with me. I’m determined to create more memories this year. I’m ready to go to all kinds of places and rekindle old friendships. I can’t wait to make new friends along the way. So, with a long-awaited relief, let the adventures begin! 😊

Blessed Be )O(
