TODAY I LEARNED: The first Native Americans to help the Pilgrims, named Samoset and Tisquantum (“Squanto”), could both speak English before having met the settlers.
Why do people fee like they have to be so entitled? It’s one thing to offer services, but it’s another when someone takes advantage of those services and starts expecting them as well. It could be the way they were raised. Perhaps it’s learned behavior, but sometimes people are just assholes because they can be, and those people are to be avoided. I have met a LOT of entitled people in my life so far and honestly it’s scary to think that people think of themselves as so important.
It’s true that we are all important to the world and ourselves in our own ways, but thinking you’re better than someone isn’t going to win you anything. It’s just going to make you look like an absolute douche-bag and believe me, there are PLENTY of them out there. I think it’s vital that we practice love and compassion instead of all this “hard ass” shit. Be easy on yourself. Talk kindly to yourself and don’t’ allow doubt to cloud your mind.
