TODAY I LEARNED: A mosquito has 47 teeth. (That’s horrifying)
We take this life for granted. We can’t help it, we’re human. It’s in our nature to get comfortable with things and then forget that we should be thankful for everything we have. It’s not sad or happy, it’s just something we do. But we are imperfect creatures and as such, we will make mistakes. That doesn’t make them right, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t learn. Everyday we go through life and make decisions. We try our best, and at the end of the day, that has to be enough. It’s all about adapting to the change you need in your life.
Sometimes change affects parts of your life you never thought it would. For example, knowing what you want is harder than it sounds. We don’t always know what we want in life. The career path we desire isn’t always so clear. What we’re going to be doing tomorrow doesn’t always paint a clear picture either. We are always changing and so are the things we want. And I’m going to say, that’s okay. 🙂 There’s nothing wrong with that. Because change is important. Sure you may muck up some stuff along the way, but remember that the “mucking” up is important because it gives you something to learn from. Without the mistakes and the bad parts, we can’t know how to change. That’s why the bad is sometimes required by life.
If you’re unsure about what you want in life, try asking yourself a simple question:
- If you had all the money in the world with no worries, what would you be doing?
It’s wishful thinking, I know, but just imagine it. You have all the money you could ever want and then some. Everything in your life is taken care of, except what you want to do. In that state, what is it that you would do? It becomes apparent that without the urge to make money, new doors seem to open. You start to ask yourself why you’re doing what you are now and things just kind of go from there.
I recently had to ask myself that same question. I was conflicted about how I wanted to “help”, because helping others is something I want to do in life. But by asking myself that question, I was reminded of why I began in the first place, and it really helped me out. I’m hoping this question can help someone out there too because I felt compelled to write about this today. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and remember to keep your head up and look on the bright side!
Blessed Be )O(
