TODAY I LEARNED: Bubble wrap was originally designed to be used as wallpaper.

We all have our differences. We do things in our own way which is part of being unique. Just like our differences, we cope in various ways. Some people like to be around others when they’re upset while the rest would rather be left alone. I have to admit, I’m one of the people who would rather encase themselves in a bubble than have to interact with others when I’m upset. Sometimes you need to conceal yourself in order to make it through the day. We’ve all been there; some of us more than others.

Granted it’s not alright to completely close yourself off from the world for a very long time. As humans we do need interaction of some sort. But we also feel the need to guard ourselves. I’m just going to throw this out there and say a little time just to yourself is completely fine. We live in a world where staying connected to each other is something that’s drilled into our brains. That’s just the generation we live in. However, things weren’t always like this.

Once upon a time, we didn’t have phones, internet, or other means to keep us all connected and we still managed to survive. So, sometimes you need a day where you cut your phone off.  Stop worrying about the things you can pick back up the next day. Today might be one of those days for me…but we’ll see. I just want people to know that it’s okay not to be okay. Because tomorrow is always a new day. You can start over whenever you like. It’s never too late.
