TODAY I LEARNED: A woman tried to commit suicide by jumping off the Empire State Building. She jumped from the 86^th floor but was blown back onto the 85^th floor by a gust of wind.

Today is a fresh start. I’m starting on a new leaf and I’m going to try my best. That’s all we can do. Waking up and realizing you have a new chance to start something again is a satisfying feeling. And the best part? If you’re alive, you can start over. Anything and everything that you “failed” or just didn’t get around to, you can begin again.

Even if you’ve messed up big time, you can take a fresh new look and try again. It’s never too late to start over and there’s no one on this Earth who says you can’t. And even if they try, they have no power over your ability to improve yourself. You do you.

It’s possible to change at any point in time. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what horrible mistakes you’ve made. If you’re making an effort to be better, you’re on the right track.

There will be setbacks, and many factors will try to pull you back under. You will probably fail. But if you fall, get back up. Life isn’t an absolute kind of ordeal. Just because you mess up or don’t get it right, doesn’t mean you’re done for good. It means you have another chance to try again, and you should.

The point of it all is to keep trying. If you can do that, you can truly do anything. You will face the hardships, and what doesn’t kill you will always make you stronger.

In my own life, I’ve had many trials and setbacks, but no matter how long it takes me to overcome them, I push forward and have done so ever since I first faced a problem. You can’t let fear win. You can’t let doubt win. Sometimes they may seep in for a while, but they’re never winners in the end.

The point of it all is this…

Whatever you’re going through, whether it’s hardship, heartbreak, sadness, grief, or any other trial of life, you keep trying. We keep moving forward. That’s what matters. It has to be that simple, because if you aren’t trying, you’re not going anywhere. Keep trying. Be the best you can be.
