Emotional level: 5
Mental level: 5
TODAY I LEARNED: You’re more sensitive to smells when you’re hungry.
I don’t think a blog post can sum up just how much has happened in the past few weeks. There is truly so much.
Luckily, I came to a very real and true conclusion through all of it. All the events that have happened so far have allowed me an emotional, mental, and spiritual reset. It didn’t come easy, but…what matters is that it happened.
Now that I see the reason behind it all, I can learn from everything and move forward. That’s my plan. It’s time for big change and this time, I’m ready. I’ve come out on top by finding the bottom and what better way to push forward than to start it all with a blog post?
So, today I want to talk about how the future changes. Specifically perfected futures. Sometimes we get it in our heads that things are going to happen a certain way and that everything will fall perfectly into place. Now, being human, and looking back on the past, we know that things can’t go perfectly, because this is life. Yet, we still try to “perfect” things.
I propose a new way of looking at it.
Well, I shouldn’t say new, because this method has been used countless times for so many years.
Yup, just screw it. Don’t worry about perfect anymore, because it doesn’t exist. It’s not real. Perfect was something conjured up a long time ago and it can be shut down.
Shed that mindset you have to get things “just right.” Instead, just do your best. Your best is the only true thing you are capable of. You can’t reach perfect. It’s not gonna happen. I’m not telling you this to break your spirit or discourage you. I chose to put it this way to give you some relief.
There is no such thing as perfect. And that’s okay. We try so hard every single day, and for what? To get our lives “just right?” I don’t know about you, but that’s not how I want to live my life. I would rather do my best, and stop focusing on how perfect things “need” to be.
Nature itself isn’t perfect. Nothing is. We live in an imperfect and natural world full of wonderful things that are so much better than perfect could ever encompass.
Perfect is hard to get away from because we have been so hard wired to be perfect in all areas of our lives, but it is possible, no matter how hard.
Be yourself, be you, and become the wonderful person you are meant to become.
I hope that everyone has an amazing day today. Whether you’re waiting around on your lunch break or working hard at your job, remember to ask yourself if you’re being true to you.
