Wow, what a week it’s been! Between school, work, and old memories and faces popping up out of nowhere, I’m not really sure what to expect with this upcoming week. Hopefully it’s a little less confusing.
Emotional state: moderate, but confused.
As random as it is, I had a dream about an ex last night. This person started out wonderful then slowly turned into a horrible human being. Really, he had been that way all along, but that didn’t mean he didn’t have his good sides. The dream was strange because I didn’t really understand what it meant until I really started thinking about it. We’ve both moved on and things are going great, in my life, at least. So why did I have to dream about him?
We should all learn from our past mistakes whether we messed up by ourselves or in our relationships. Sometimes the thoughts we had at the time were warped by perception, so taking a step back in time with a new thought process can really give you a new outlook on the entire situation. That’s what the dream was meaning to convey. I was able to see things in an entirely new light!
It all made me realize quite a few things. While I won’t bore you with the details I will say that it was worth it. It’s worth thinking and feeling out your dreams. They each have a meaning whether it be deep or just something small. You can’t expect things to simply change, you have to make them. We have to take action. So do what you want, but remember that sometimes reaching into your past for information can be a good thing. And if there’s something you need to learn from, your life will bring it up. Sometimes it’s obvious, other times you have to really search for it. Either way it’s worth it. Digging in your past is probably going to hurt, but hurting isn’t always a bad thing. It shows us that we can rise up from the things that have caused us so much pain. It reminds us that we are stronger than we think.
Word of advice: Don’t let your past define you. Don’t let your own history repeat itself and learn from the mistakes you’ve made in the past. It will hurt, but it will be worth it.
